Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Your responsibilities will include all of those typical to an Associate Attorney, including legal research and writing, time management, effective and frequent communication with team members, client meetings and communications, legal analysis, reviewing and drafting documents and pleadings, appearing at hearings, and time tracking. You will be expected to effectively manage, prioritize and complete all of the position responsibilities, including meeting the minimum billable hour requirement.
Associates will work directly with partners on assigned matters. While our firm is by far primarily a business law and estate planning law firm, we do handle some administrative matters and litigation under the management of our litigation manager. Associate attorneys may be asked to assist in one or more of our principal practice areas: (1) Commercial contracts and transactions, (2) General corporate and business matters including real estate, securities, labor/employment, and intellectual property law; (3) Estate planning and administration; and, (4) administrative law and litigation with some court or administrative appearances.
